The majority of the scuba diving in Tenerife takes place off the south and west facing coasts of the island where the dive sites vary in depth from 6 to 50+ metres. Scuba diving in Tenerife is possible all year round with water temperatures ranging from 19 degrees C in the winter to 24 degrees C in the summer months. Visibility generally varies between 15-30 metres.
Underwater, the land drops away from the coastline in a series of slopes and steps, giving divers easy access to the walls, caves and swim through’s that make up the underwater scenery.
There is abundant marine life to be found, from the small arrow crab, octopus and glass eye fish to the larger rays and barracudas. Angel sharks can also be spotted from December through to April.
The following is only a small selection of the dive sites that we regularly visit. If you would like more information about scuba diving in Tenerife please contact Dani.
