What is the law regarding minimum age limits for scuba diving in Tenerife?

The law in most parts of Spain (Tenerife included) states that nobody under the age of 16 years is allowed to take part in scuba diving activities. Whilst we do not necessarily agree with this law, as a professional dive centre we do comply with it.

Update….As of 26th April 2006 the law regarding minimum age limits for diving was changed so we are now pleased to report that we are able to provide diving and training courses for children within the minimum age limits laid down by PADI. For further information please email us.
